Sodium Hydrosulfide

Sodium hydrosulfide is generally orange or yellow in color. Easy to dissolve due to moisture. At the melting point, hydrogen sulfide is released by decomposition. Easy to dissolve in water and alcohol. The dye industry is used as an additive for synthesizing organic intermediates and preparing sulfide dyes, the leather industry is used for dehairing and tanning of raw hides, the fertilizer industry is used for removing monomer sulfur from activated carbon desulfurizers, the mining industry is extensively used for copper ore beneficiation, and artificial fiber production is used for sulfite dyeing. It is a raw material for manufacturing ammonium sulfide and pesticide ethanethiol semi-finished products, and is also used for wastewater treatment.

1) Metal processing: Sodium hydrosulfide can be used as a metal surface treatment agent to remove oxides from the metal surface, making the metal surface smoother.
2) Textile industry: Sodium hydrosulfide can be used as a reducing agent in the textile industry, which can reduce dyes into colorless or light colored compounds, thereby achieving dyeing effects. In addition, sodium hydrosulfide can also be used for bleaching and decolorization of textiles.
3) Chemical analysis: Sodium hydrosulfide can be used as a reducing agent in chemical analysis, reducing some metal ions to metals, thereby achieving analytical purposes.
4) Mining industry: Sodium hydrosulfide is widely used in copper ore beneficiation in the mining industry. It is mainly used to suppress the flotation of other minerals such as pyrite, thereby improving the beneficiation efficiency of copper ore.
5) Leather industry: Sodium hydrosulfide is used in the leather industry for dehairing and tanning of raw hides.
6) Wastewater treatment: Sodium hydrosulfide can be used in the wastewater treatment process to remove heavy metal impurities from the wastewater.
7) Pesticide intermediate: Sodium hydrosulfide is used as a pesticide intermediate in the synthesis of organic pesticides and can be used to synthesize organophosphorus pesticides, such as malathion.
8) Pharmaceutical industry: Sodium hydrosulfide can be used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture some drugs, such as diuretics and analgesics.
9) Organic silicon industry: Sodium hydrosulfide plays a major role in the organic silicon industry as a catalyst and crosslinking agent, which can promote the hydrolysis and polymerization reactions of siloxanes, improve the production and quality of silicone oil. In addition, sodium hydrosulfide can also serve as a crosslinking agent for silicone rubber, promoting the crosslinking reaction between the molecular chains of silicone rubber, and improving the strength, heat resistance, and weather resistance of silicone rubber.
